Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo named as new Emirates ambassador

Emirates Airline has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo, the winner of the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2013, is its newest global ambassador. The Dubai airline has also premiered its campaign video featuring the
football superstar alongside Brazilian legend and fellow global ambassador Pelé.
 
The announcement was made just 74 days before the FIFA World Cup 2014 – the world’s most coveted soccer event slated to be held in Brazil.
 
The two-time FIFA Player of the Year winner who currently plays for Emirates sponsored team Real Madrid; Ronaldo will lead his national team to South America to compete for the much coveted trophy.
