Over 80 people injured following floor collapse in Port Elizabeth in South Africa

More than 80 people have been injured following the collapse of the floor of a fishing company, at the Port Elizabeth harbour, in the Eastern Cape on Friday. The workers at the fish processing facility
, Eyethu Fishing, were queuing to leave the building when the second-storey floor caved in.


Many of the workers were rushed to hospital for bruises and fractures and at least two people were in a serious condition. No fatalities were reported.


Port officials say they will launch a full investigation into the collapse.
