The Ministry of Tourism, through the National Institute of Tourism, received from the organizers of the 2014 edition of the fair Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) the distinction as the most
popular emerging destination. Our country participated in the show from 7 to 9 February in Mumbai.
Tourism Minister and Chairman of Inprotur , Enrique Meyer , said : “This recognition is an honor for our country and demonstrates the fruits of the hard work we do every day to promote and position our country abroad and thus consolidate the tourism sector in Argentina . “
Besides, the minister said: “Participating in such fairs is a great opportunity to strengthen our presence in a high growth market for tourism in recent years.” So also added that” Argentina has a great range of destinations that combine cultural and natural attractions that are of great interest for tourists from India so we must strengthen our efforts to present our country in this market.”
In this edition of the OTM Inprotur presented to the public the most prominent destinations of our country and provided information on the different experiences that tourists can enjoy in Argentina. Likewise sought to position Argentina as a country experiences through guidelines given by the International Marketing Plan 2012 – 2015 Connect.
In this regard the Executive Secretary Inprotur , Robert Palais , said : “Our aim in this edition of OTM was to take the opportunity to promote and disseminate Argentina as a tourist destination and achieve sales growth for our country and the flow of tourists Indian market . “
He also noted that: “It is very important to note the great interest of the audience for our country and the large number of people who attended the Argentinian stand during the days of the fair.”
The presentation of the events held in Argentina in 2014 as the Grand Prix MotoGP Argentina , the 2014 edition of Termatalia that will be held in Termas de Rio Hondo, or the latest edition of the Dakar Rally that ran our country was conducted for the sixth consecutive year.
The launch of the new experiential web www.argentina.travel presented as an experiential site where visitors can learn about the 200 experience was one of the highlights in promoting the destination. The new website incorporates new concepts, new approaches and a new bet that incorporates the latest trends in the country on the Internet.
This concludes the Inprotur its promotional participation in the fairs organized in the Asian market which included their holdings in Turkey EMITT fair ; SATTE in New Delhi , and OTM in the city of Mumbai.
