An avalanche near Lake Louise, about 80 miles west of Alberta, killed two on Saturday 8.10.14. The incident took place near the popular Lake Agnes tea house which is not open in the
winter months.
A group of five was snowshoeing when Parks Canada says two people triggered a medium sized avalanche. Three more people who were with them were uninjured
Three of the survivors called for help and dug out one of the victims from the snow, but the person had already died.
The second victim was traced by a search dog.
