Medical tourism awards by IMTJ acknowledges top international destinations

With medical tourism becoming a common practice among countries around the world,  many countries are attracting tourists offering innumerable incentives with hi-tech treatments for less amount of time at
high end or middle range price packages for all budget types.

Some important destinations for medical tourism are UK, Dubai, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali and Jordan to name a few.

UK is best known for its plastic surgery expertise. It is considered the plastic surgery capital of the world. The UK offers top treatment to visitors and while they come to find treatment for potentially life threatening diseases like cancer and heart problems, there are experts at plastic surgery as well.  UK was recognized by the International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ)which awarded the destination for providing the best treatment.  People often visit the UK seeking cosmetic cures for their torso, teeth and face.

Thailand too specializes in plastic surgery and airline offer discounts to medical tourists.

The medical tourism industry was first recognized for the by the IMTJ in an award ceremony held in Dubai. The winners all exemplify the way in which the medical tourism industry has incorporated correct practices helping people all around the world to get the best treatments.

The winners have been divided into categories which have been put under best hospital, specialist patient center, dental clinic, fertility clinic, travel agency and website.

The winner for prime destination has been Malaysia which has been victorious in three categories. Kuala Lumpur’s Gleneagles provides 330-bed care center that offers airline travel discounts to inbound patients on its website, took the hospital accolade. Also its Prince Court Medical Center has won the best fertility clinic award for being the best place for teeth tune-ups.

The best overall destination award went to Jordan which handled more than 250,000 international medical tourists.
