Take a blooming marvellous trip to Keukenhof Gardens with DFDS Seaways

DFDS Seaways
This Spring, DFDS Seaways, the award winning ferry operator, is offering keen flower and gardening enthusiasts a two-night mini cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam, to visit the
world famous Keukenhof Gardens.

One of the world’s largest flower gardens, the renowned Keukenhof Gardens are located just outside Amsterdam. Also known as the Garden of Europe, Keukenhof has over 7 million bulbs flowering across the 32 hectares of parkland, showcasing Holland’s favourite flowers in spectacular displays. With hundreds of tulip, daffodils, hyacinths and muscari bulbs on display, you can view the beautifully crafted flower mosaic, which symbolises Amsterdam’s famous canals in a splendour of colours and even gain some inspiration for your own garden.

The best time to visit is between 20 March and 18 May 2014, which is when you can see the gardens in their full glory as they burst into a kaleidoscope of colours. The attraction has plenty on offer for all age groups this year, with a choice of various events throughout Spring. Highlights include the live musical entertainment and the Flower Parade on 3 May and even a visit from the Easter Bunny on the 20-21 April, as a treat for the younger family members.

A mini cruise with DFDS Seaways offers a great value mini break and fantastic fun for all the family. During the overnight cruise from Newcastle, adults can enjoy the live music and entertainment onboard, or relax in one of the bars and cafes. Families with children can have fun in the Kidz Club, or even watch a family movie in the onboard cinema.

You will be spoilt for choice for dinner, as there are three quality restaurants onboard serving delicious fresh food. With something to suit every palate, you can choose from the Seven Seas buffet restaurant, which includes a variety of freshly prepared dishes including a special kids food station, the exclusive Blue Riband a la carte restaurant or the Explorer’s Steakhouse, which serves a mouth-watering range of juicy steaks.

When you are ready to retire for the night, you can head to your comfortable en suite cabin and arrive feeling refreshed and ready to explore the gardens when you arrive into Holland the next morning.

The mini cruise offer includes two nights’ accommodation onboard one of DFDS Seaways cruise ferries, return coach transfers to the Keukenhof Gardens and entrance tickets to the garden. Prices start from as little as £77 per person for the package, based on four people sharing, a significant saving when compared to tickets purchased separately!
