Egyptian captain falls sick en route Cairo emergency lands

A sudden critical development but unfortunate development the captain of an Egypt Air flight from Saudi Arabia to Cairo made an emergency landing in the Gulf Kingdom after
falling ill during the flight.

The aircraft was on its way from the eastern Saudi port of Dammam to Cairo on Friday when the pilot felt exhausted and could not continue the flight.

Saudi print media said the captain of the aircraft with 121 passengers on board made an
emergency landing at the airport in the northern Saudi town of Tabuk.

“Egypt Air sent another crew to Saudi Arabia and the aircraft later resumed its flight to the
Egyptian capital,” Sada daily said.
