Bremen to host largest samba carnival in Germany

GNTB
Bremen plays host to the largest samba carnival in Germany on February 21 and 22.

Unlike typical German carnival celebrations in places such as Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz, festivities in Bremen feature hot samba rhythms rather than red clown noses.

Every year, around 35,000 people come out to see this colourful extravaganza with its elaborate costumes, dancers and extraordinary masks.

After the great parade a number of samba groups perform at live concerts throughout the city, transporting audiences from the cold of Bremen to the heat of Brazil!
