Celebrity Cruises Receives Top Honors Across Two Continents

Celebrity Cruises’ modern, luxurious ships have been recognized among the best in the cruise industry by Cruise Critic US and UK in the 2014 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards, winning the
highest honor in 12 categories.

In the US, Celebrity’s stunning Celebrity Silhouette received the coveted top award for “Best Mediterranean Cruises” across all cruise ships. The brand’s pearl of the Galapagos Islands, mega-yacht Celebrity Xpedition, won in the small-ship category for “Best Shore Excursions.” Overall, Celebrity was recognized among the top five winners in 18 categories.

Across the Atlantic, UK guests deemed Celebrity as the best of all cruise lines in 10 categories. Celebrity Eclipse was honored with “Best from UK” and “Best Cabins” – both exceptional accolades. Celebrity Equinox received “Best Service” in recognition of its award-winning crew and “Best Public Rooms.” The brand swept the destinations category by winning the top three spots for “Best Mediterranean Cruises” with Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Reflection and Celebrity Equinox. Celebrity’s beloved Celebrity Century was honored with “Best Overall”, “Best Dining,” “Best Fitness,” “Best Service” and “Best Value for money” in the mid-ship category. The premium brand was named within the top five cruise lines across 19 categories in the UK.

The annual Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards are based on reviews submitted by cruisers for cruises taken during 2013 and are given in three ship classes, according to passenger capacity – small (1,199 passengers or fewer), mid-sized (1,200 to 1,999) and large (2,000+). The top 10 ships in each class are named in the following categories: Overall, Cabins, Dining, Embarkation, Entertainment, Fitness, Public Rooms, Service, Shore Excursions and Value-for-Money. Awards are also given to the top-ranked ships in popular cruise destinations; Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
