quite a surprise.
A rather funky entrance area leads directly to an impressive conference facility, backed by a large lounge and bar. In the gardens beyond is an impressive pool. The forty or so rooms are located four to each of several large round bandas, all with aircon and flatscreen television.
Clearly a lot of time and money has been spent here ... the lodge has some quirky design features and the fixtures and fittings have obviously been carefully selected from expensive catalogues. What is not so clear is why. The lodge certainly does not seem to match the volume or profile of visitors to the adjacent mountains. So presumably it is aimed at a domestic market.
Udzungwa Falls Lodge is the obvious choice for visitors to this area who like their home comforts.
