A wide participation is expected in the World Travel Market Africa at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from May 2-3, 2014. Exhibitors from different
categories form MICE industry to leisure are all going to be there.

This global event is expected to attract for the first time 4,500 visitors from all over the world and will be supported by the City of Cape Town and the Western Cape Government.

Some 300 pre-qualified buyers from both emerging and traditional source markets will be hosted by WTM Africa, a large majority of which are new to events in Africa.

Big names that have already signed up for the event are Dreams 4 Africa, Bill Harrop’s ‘Original’ Balloon Safaris, Brothers Safaris, Sunway Safaris and Cooks Air Tours and Safaris, all of which are crafters of tours and safaris in Southern Africa.

The exhibitors from Africa are looking forward to the event as they anticipate that it will bring fresh energy to their region as they meet potential buyers.

According to marketing manager, Brothers Safaris, Rebecca Wood, WTM Africa is an excellent marketing opportunity, new to the South African market and not to be missed. It will be a refreshing and successful experience compared to the slow moving African market.

Since the event is being hosted in Cape Town’s picturesque locales all exhibitors will get the opportunity to see the beautiful city and also view the amazing products that will be exhibited.

Pan-African hotel brands will also be gracing the CTICC and standing among them will be one of the largest hotel brands in sub-Saharan Africa, the City Lodge Hotel Group and  55 more hotels in South Africa, Kenya and Botswana, the City Lodge Hotel Group is a major supplier of quality hotel accommodation for business and leisure travellers.

Peter Schoeman, the Divisional director, sales and marketing, City Lodge Hotel Group said that the WTM Africa gives them the opportunity to showcase their hotel’s portfolio and to continue in building a relationship with  the travel industry.
