Crystal Cruises cancels all its stops in Bangkok amid political unrest

Crystal cruise
As the political unrest continues in Bangkok, Crystal Cruises has cancelled their trips through early 2015. In a latest statement posted on their website, the luxury line says it has
removed stops at the nearby port of Laem Chabang from six sailings of its two ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

Crystal’s move comes as the result of the growing protests and violence in Bangkok that recently prompted a travel alert from the U.S. State Department. The Thai Government has issued a 2 month state of emergency.

Crystal Cruises is the first major cruise line to cancel calls in Bangkok area in the wake of the political strife. Other major cruise lines like Oceania Cruises and Silversea Cruises still have Bangkok as a city in their schedule.

Please refer to the website of the Crystal cruises for the revised itineraries.
