Merely 24 hours after the capital was hit by a series of co-ordinated terrorist bombings at Aldgate, Kings Cross, Edgware Road and Tavistock Square, the busiest section of
the metropolis, Central London, remains on high alert on Tuesday morning as a number of security alerts have disrupted travel for commuters.

Police cleared the area around Liverpool Street station after a suspicious-looking package was reportedly found in a local restaurant.

Earlier, Euston station was evacuated in a new security scare. British Transport Police moved travellers away from the station before giving the all-clear sign.

Three Tube locations were hit underground and a fourth blast ripped the roof off a number 30 double-decker bus. The death toll is believed to have risen to 52, with at least 700 others injured in the earlier series blast.
