
Around two thousand flights were cancelled in US after heavy snow storm warning was issued across several cities including Boston and New York. According to reports, a system moving
across the U.S. will grow off the coast of North Carolina and is set to bring 6 inches or more of snow to Washington, Philadelphia, New York and Boston in the next 24 hours, said John Feerick, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather Inc. in State College, Pennsylvania.
As many as 122 flights were cancelled at New York’s La Guardia Airport and 138 at Philadelphia International Airport, according to FlightAware.
Temperatures will dip across US with bitter wind chills of minus 40 Celsius sweeping the upper Midwest areas.
Tourists are requested to check with airports to get detailed information on flight schedules.
