Royal Caribbean International
More than 300 people are reported sick aboard a Royal Caribbean Cruise including 281 passengers and 22 crew members. According to the federal Centers of
Disease Control (CDC), all the ill passengers and crew members are suffering from bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea.

Cruise line officials increased disinfection efforts and said it’s not yet clear what is causing the illness.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise, “Explorer of the Seas” set off from its home port Bayonne, NJ with 3,050 passengers and 1,165 crew members aboard the ship.

The CDC said health officials will board the ship on Sunday while will be docked in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. According to latest reports, the authorities instructed to collect specimens for further investigation and testing.

The present gastrointestinal problem faced by the Royal Caribbean Cruise passengers is the second of the year. On January 19 this year, 130 passengers fell ill on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship in Miami.
