Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica Staff Debut New Uniforms Inspired by Traditional Ox Cart Designs of Costa Rica

Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica
Team members working throughout the various departments of Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo are now proudly wearing new uniforms inspired by the traditional colourful ox cart designs of
Costa Rica.  The 15 different designs feature colourful borders inspired by the patterns from traditional ox carts of Costa Rica and were made by San Jose, Costa Rica based boutique Eleganzza.

Wooden ox carts were used during the early 20th century in Costa Rica as the main mode of transportation to move coffee beans to the local markets, often over mountainous terrain.  Although they are not used as often today, ox carts and their beautiful and colourful patterns still play a role in parades and celebrations in Costa Rica.

“The majority of our employees are from Costa Rica and love helping introduce our guests to the customs and beauty of this wonderful country,” says Melina Gordon, Director of Human Resources, Four Seasons Costa Rica.  “Our new uniforms are another way to help employees celebrate their culture and feel excited and proud to come to work every day.”

The previous uniforms have been donated by Four Seasons Costa Rica to Creciendo Juntos, the philanthropic organization assisting families and schools  throughout Guanacaste, Costa Rica, and will be shared with local schools including INA Instituto Nacional de Aprendisaje (National Learning Center), Colegio Tecnicos Profesionales de Sardinal (Professional Technical College Sardinal), Colegio Tecnicos Profesionales de Liberia, and Colegio Tecnicos Profesionales de Filadelfia.
