DIRECT ISRAEL-TANZANIA FLIGHTS BEGINS

DIRECT ISRAEL-TANZANIA FLIGHTS BEGIN
Special four weekly Tel Aviv- Kilimanjaro International Airport charter lights will be held six months a year following a very successful nine-day tour of Tanzania’s unique attractions by
a group of 150 tourists from Israel.

Speaking at the conclusion of the maiden tour, Israeli Safari Company Chief Executive, Ms. Ronit Hershkovitz, revealed that the flights, co-organized with national carrier ELAL, would take place in April, May, June, August, September and December.

She said the Tel-Aviv- KIA direct flights would open doors for Tanzania to start receiving many tourists from Israel because the maiden flight turned out to offer a big experience. “My fellow Israelites have been greatly surprised by the unique attractions Tanzania has to offer, in particular the pride of Serengeti lions, the ‘Big Five’ and Kilimanjaro Mountain.”

Aboard the first flight were ten disabled persons, who climbed the Kilimanjaro to Gilman Point, seven print and electronic media personnel of Channel Ten and Channel Two. Channel Ten crew covered the Kili climb by 24 tourists. The rest 126 had chance to visit Serengeti and Manyara national parks on top of the Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar.

The Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) Arusha Manager, Willy Lyimo, congratulated them on their achievement of witnessing Tanzania’s unique attractions. “You’ve seen with your own eyes and acknowledged what we have to offer. It’s now your turn to be our ambassadors and tell your people back home that they are very welcome and we want to ensure them that Tanzania is a very safe destination where one can enjoy real peace.”
